Offworld Program brings two perspectives together: the imagined uniforms of dystopian off-world colonists and the everyday clothing of corporate workers in a smart city. Within Dragon Star’s worldbuilding, it is a study of the people who keep a future running, expressed through sci-fi workwear and utility-led fashion.
OFFWORLD: the colonist’s uniform
The OFFWORLD side of the collection looks beyond New Los Angeles toward the idea of working life away from Earth. Its starting point is the colonist’s uniform: clothing imagined within an unfamiliar environment, under the demands of labor and the structures that organize it.
That idea gives space-colonist fashion its particular tension. Leaving Earth can suggest escape, while a uniform suggests obligation. The collection explores that mood through substantial shapes, layered workwear and industrial details. Its future feels inhabited, with room for wear, repetition and individual adaptation.
CORPO LOGISTICS: the city’s working life
CORPO LOGISTICS stays closer to the corporate workers and contractors of the smart city. Cyberpunk working uniforms and commuter jumpsuits form its reference points: a wardrobe imagined between the journey to work and the systems that need maintaining.
In the RAIN Universe, Blue Zone presents itself as seamless. Autonomous vehicles, drone traffic and connected infrastructure make the rebuilt city feel effortless. CORPO LOGISTICS approaches that setting from the working day, bringing its focus to uniforms, movement and corporate identity.
Two settings, a shared design language
The distinction matters. OFFWORLD centers the dystopian space colonist; CORPO LOGISTICS centers the smart-city worker or contractor. They meet in the collection through the visual language of work: utility pockets, paneling, industrial proportions and clothing that suggests a role within a larger organization.
Dragon Star curates these ideas across independent labels. Steam Function is one reference within the OFFWORLD selection, with designs that suit the collection’s worn, industrial atmosphere. Each featured brand retains its own authorship; the shared setting is our way of bringing different pieces into conversation.
Building an Offworld wardrobe
Start with a workwear silhouette and let its construction set the direction. A loose trouser, a structured vest or a distinctive outer layer can establish the feeling without requiring a complete uniform.
