Blue Zone: Inside Magenta City

The city sees you. It promises to keep you safe.

Blue Zone is the rebuilt face of New Los Angeles: a protected smart city of futuristic architecture, connected infrastructure and carefully managed public life. It gives Dragon Star’s Blue Zone collection its core identity: sleek futurewear and clean, deliberate silhouettes for life inside the system.

A new kind of citizenship

After the Blackout devastates the old coastline, the Blue Zone rises as a promise of recovery. Within this experimental safety bubble, the US Constitution is suspended. A corporate virtual state takes its place, with virtual citizenship and a crypto-token social credit system.

The CPU maintains physical order while the Curfew Pass makes civilian identity part of everyday enforcement. Safety has conditions. The rebuilt city offers convenience and stability, but its residents live inside rules that reach well beyond the streets.

Magenta City: the layer over everything

Hazel Corp, a private AI and extended-reality company, develops Magenta City as a persistent augmented-reality overlay on the physical city. Patrolling drones continuously scan their surroundings. Their data feeds Hazel, the company’s proprietary AI, which interprets activity and alerts the CPU to potential threats.

The same network supports a new form of public life. Through AR or VR eyewear, residents can visit covered locations remotely, appearing as visible avatars to others using the system. Digital spaces, identities and accessories become part of the city’s economy. Personal expression flourishes inside an infrastructure built to observe it.

Who else lives here?

Magenta City eventually becomes home to independent AIs known as Non-Human Entities, or NHEs. Granted equal rights alongside human citizens, they participate in digital work and appear within the AR environment. Entering a human resident’s private premises requires permission.

Their presence brings prosperity and new questions about privacy, employment and the power of Hazel Corp. Rumors surround the technology behind them. The true cause of the Blackout remains uncertain, even as the city grows comfortable with the systems that followed it.

The wardrobe: belonging to the future

Blue Zone’s aesthetic starts with polished surfaces, controlled proportions and an assured futuristic presence. Dragon Star’s MAGENTA CITY selection translates that atmosphere into clothing from independent designers, with an emphasis on clean shapes and considered details.

The wider catalogue also intersects with other lives inside this world. Hazel focuses on elegant, feminine corporate attire, while Offworld Program includes the uniforms and commuter silhouettes of corporate workers. These overlaps let a wardrobe move between roles within the same city.
